The ideal accessory for both menswear and womenswear. Moffat is a classic grey-based tartan with bold black checks. All Moffats are descendants of an extremely ancient Border family. The oldest recorded ancestor is Andlaw, alias Allan, Grant who came to Scotland from Norway at some time in the 10th century. The family is pre-conquest in origin and became ancient vassals of the Annans who held the Lordship of Annandale before the days of the Bruces. Tartan: Moffat Modern.
